“Little women” (2019) is a movie about womanhood. It revolves around the March sisters including Jo March, Meg March, Amy March, and Beth March and their journey from childhood to adulthood. It includes memories from when they were younger and the experiences they go through, and the challenges they face as they grow into women. The movie shows each sister and her different personality and interests. The movie starts with showing where each girl is currently in her life and goes back to parts of their childhood throughout the movie. The director, Greta Gergwig uses colors to differentiate the past and present. Sshe uses an orange tone to show the past and uses a cooler, blue to represent the present. It has become one of my favorite movies and one that I look forward to rewatching many times.

I think it is such an empowering movie to especially young women. I also think that the movie is so special to me because of the fact that I have two sisters. I’m very glad that we have a movie that is very meaningful to us that we can hopefully watch as we become older and grow into women. The movie touches on topics regarding women and how they are more than just people who love and want to be loved. It explains how they have souls and minds and are powerful. The movie takes place in the 19th century, in Concord, Massachusetts and is directed by Greta Gerwig. It is also the seventh movie made after the novel “Little Women,” written by Louisa May Alcott in 1868. Something that I really love about this movie are the actors, and the fact that it is a story about sisters growing up together. I think that this movie has shown people how important family is and how important it is to be there for each other and to be supportive of one another. It also shows that it is normal for siblings to argue and to have their different passions and ways of life. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone but especially to people with sisters. This movie really showed me how much I care for my sisters and how grateful I should be for having them in my life.
