My Moment: “Walking through the entrance at my quinceanera and greeting the people”

My Moment: “Walking through the entrance at my quinceanera and greeting the people”

The room  seemed to be surrounded by relatives and friends as there were around thirty- five occupied seats .The persistent  rising sound of laughter was a reminder of the joyous children that freely ran around the venue. However, the adults patiently waited  for the photographer to finish setting up his extensive equipment in preparation for the official beginning of the festivities. There were numerous aunts, uncles, cousins , and friends that took the rare opportunity to engage in their own separate conversations. The sense of eagerness of the individuals to communicate with each other was a result of the time many of them had spent apart,  since they had traveled large distances to meet together in one place. The focus of people’s attention primarily shifted towards the main gate, where my excited mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother calmly stood in place as they diligently managed the event. It can be stated that as I arrived in the room, and carefully analyzed each person, they were  easily recognizable due to having their own unique features and attributes that set them apart from the other people in the space. The only similarity that was familiar was the consistent emotion within the guests of  their expanding joy.

There were countless  elaborate hairstyles that ranged from up-do´s to perfectly straighten hair that could be observed throughout the cheerful room. They were accompanied by detailed accessories, which were often traditionally passed down through generations. These carefully planned formal attire began shifting and turning as people actively engaged in their conversations before ultimately deciding to explore the many entertaining activities provided. The roaring volume of  my birthday celebration began to promptly elevate as my energetic friends began to take over the dance floor,  while others took plenty of images in the photo booth located towards the side of the building. It can be seen how people were anxiously preparing their phones while keeping alert for any unexpected wonderful surprise.  The individuals gathered around me could also  be spotted generally taking seconds of the appetizing selection of meals. The party was finally operating in an organized manner and the lively musicians or mariachi  began to play their  comforting tunes while others filmed in hopes of remembering the moment for a longer time.

The majority of mostly stringed instruments and the artists´ emotional manner of performing the songs overpowered the noise of the outside world. The lack of walls provided a sight of numerous kinds of bright flowers and tall trees around the vigorous green landscape of Pennsylvania. The sun was starting to set as a gentle autumn breeze traveled through the area while the visible clear sky showed no signs of unexpected precipitation. The natural  pigments of the outside region contrasted  the consistent theme colors of gold and white found in the fully assembled oval-shaped tables and wooden chairs around the floor. However, this did not seem to  have largely  affected the impact of the vivid shade of red on my dress as it appeared to have an infinite amount of layers or fabric that varied in sharp textures. It dragged on the ground slightly from its weight. The breeze that passed through the room was quite refreshing since the situation permitted for everyone to have their own space instead of being uncomfortably packed in the same location under the restrictions of rigid walls.  Although I had only taken a quick glance around the room, it would later become a memorable moment in time.
