Dear Dads around the world,
I wanted to take some time to thank not just mine, but all dads around the world. I thank all dads around the world because they are crucial to their sons’/daughters’ lives. Dads shape their children into who they want them to become or even better. I can say from having a dad that I wouldn’t be the type of boy that I am today. I wouldn’t be as responsible, and outgoing, and I wouldn’t know how to do certain things. It’s shocking to me how many people grow up without fathers. Approximately 18.3 million children across the United States (as of 2022) grew up without a dad which is about 1 in 4 children.Â
It’s a sad reality because not only do those children never get to experience a father, but they never get to see what it’s like to be a man. If it’s a boy, it’s even worse since their father is supposed to shape them into a responsible and mature young man who knows the ins and outs of what it’s like to be a man. I hold my father very dear to me because of how good of a dad he is and what I’ve learned from him. My dad not only takes care of and loves me, but he has shown me how to take care of myself, pushed me to be active, and has shown me a love combined with my mom that I’ve never seen before.
Dads have a lasting impact on their children and the children of this generation are the future of this world. Fathers do a lot for their children and without them, where would we be? It’s hard for moms who are single and have nobody to help them raise the child who was meant to have a father. Moms would have to shape their kids all on their own. But with a father and a mother, they could make their child into something more than themselves. Dads are crucial in a child’s life and I thank all dads for their hard work, dedication, and love towards their children.Â
Thank you so much
