Dear Cousins,
I want to share my gratitude and appreciation for all the times you were there. Any moments that seem to be gloomy can suddenly be brightened back up by your thoughtful and encouraging words. The bond we share is something so unique and unlike any other relationship I’ve had with anyone before. Our relationship provides emotional support for each other, fostering a strong sense of closeness and a family-like bond, creating a small group that will always be together, whether in any place or on vacation. Seeming to appear even in the darkest and brightest of moments, you make them shine more than anything. So, for all of this, I would love to say thank you for everything.Â
I will never forget when I was there in my worst moments, and I struggled to do even the smallest of things. You were always there, encouraging me and pushing me to become better. Even on the days when I felt like everything and anything was impossible, you showed me that the impossible is possible; you just have to work for it. Even on my best days, you made them even better! Oh, how I wish I could re-live every single great memory we hold. Our bond truly demonstrates what a sibling-like and friendship-like bond is. I can see you on any day I choose, and even when we fight, we know we will get through it and come back together stronger than ever.Â
Working through every obstacle together, giving each other a helping hand. You never seemed to fail me, even when I felt like the world was. So, thank you for being such an amazing and bright person. For showing me, there’s good in the bad. On my gloomy days, you are truly the sun that shines through, and your words are the winds that blow those dark clouds away. Though we may argue sometimes, we reunite and talk it out, knowing each other since we were little, has helped us build a true bond. My lifelong support and friend that I know I can always count on, because I know you will never fail me. You are my refuge in a world full of danger and violence. Thank you so much. I love you and always will.Â
Best always,
Condesa Concepcion
