Dear Aunts all over, 

I want to thank you for everything you do for your nieces and nephews. You are like second parents, best friends, and biggest supporters all in one. You’re the ones who show up when our parents aren’t around or just can’t make it. You show up when we don’t have anyone to talk to, give the best advice, and make sure we never feel like we aren’t loved or feel bad about ourselves. 

Thank you for spoiling us, getting us things our parents probably wouldn’t get us. You do a lot for us even though you don’t have to. Even taking on the parent role when you don’t have kids yourself just shows how much you care. You bring laughter, comfort, and guidance into our lives; if the world didn’t have aunts, it probably wouldn’t be the same. 

No matter where you go in the world, aunts hold a special place in families. Some sneak and go get you extra candy, others give you advice when you can’t talk to your parents, and some just make you laugh when you need it the most. Aunts all over the world should be celebrated for the love, patience, and care they bring into our lives. 

So to every aunt out there, thank you for everything you do. Thank you for being that special person in our lives who makes family feel even more like home.
