As the year 2024 is soon coming to a close, there have to be moments when you’ve watched a show or two, or possibly you’re a fanatic for shows, like me. Today I will be listing the best shows that came out in 2024. All are different genres of shows, going from comedies, anime, animated superhero shows, etc. Here are the top 5 best shows of 2024: 

• The Penguin           

Also, being the sequel to the Batman movie, The Penguin has to be the Best show I’ve watched this year if not definitely neck and neck with number 2. Oz Cobb (The Penguin), played by Colin Farrel, plays The Penguin perfectly. He nails the dark and gritty portrayal of the Penguin’s rise to power. The show is gritty and graphic but extremely well-written, and I recommend everyone watch this.

• Shogun   

This show is another very good one. It takes place in 17th-century Japan and focuses on an English sailor, John Blackthorne, played by Cosmo Jarvis, who ends up in a shipwreck in Japan, causing the clash of 2 ambitious men from different worlds. The other man is Lord Yoshii Toranaga, played by Hiroyuki Sanada, a fierce leader. The storytelling in this show was amazing. I recommend watching it.

• The Boys (Season 4)   

I loved this show. The Boys is about a group of corrupt superheroes who start delving deeper into politics and are used as weapons. But during season 4, we get to see Homelander start losing his sanity. He does not trust anyone and even goes rogue on his son. This show is very dark, graphic, and gritty. I recommend the entire show to watch.

• Invincible (Season 2) 

This show is different from all the other shows, unlike the rest that are live shows. This is an animated superhero show, based on the comic series Invincible. The show is about a family where the dad Nolan Grayson is a superhuman from a different world called Viltrum. Also, had a son called Mark Grayson who got powers from his father and wanted to be like him. But after finding out, after years of bonding and growing up. He finds out the actual reason his dad was on Earth. His dad’s objective the entire time on Earth was to scout out the planet so that Viltrum could take over the planet. You gonna have to find out the rest from watching it, but the show is amazing. The animation is perfect and the OST is also amazing.

• Fallout

This show is an adaptation of the game Fallout, just like The Last of Us was. The show takes place after the Great War of 2077, which was an apocalyptic nuclear exchange between the US and China. There were always resource wars going on since they lived in a retro-futuristic society. But many people took shelter in Fallout shelters called Vaults where people stayed in them for 200+ years. In the year 2296, the main character Lucy leaves her vault to see the unforgiving wasteland of a destroyed Los Angeles.
