As the Winter Sports season approaches, students are getting ready for another exciting year, from track to basketball, bowling to wrestling, and competitive cheer, MRHS has it all. There is something for everyone.
To help you figure out how to get involved, here is all the information you need, including the coach’s details and tryout dates.
Track and field are all about speed and skills whether you’re a sprinter, long-distance runner, or fielder. Coach Orsini ([email protected]) and Coach Bustamante ([email protected]) encourage students of all abilities to join.
Cheerleading is not just about supporting other teams but also about showcasing teamwork and spirit. Coach Deluca ([email protected]) and Coach Marcella ([email protected]) are known for leading very successful cheer teams. They are looking for passionate individuals to boost school spirit both on and off the court. The first meeting will be held in room 229 on October 23.
The girl’s basketball team is preparing for a challenging but exciting season. Coach Usini ([email protected]) is looking for players with dedication, teamwork, and a love for the game. All skill levels are welcome to attend tryouts. The first interest meeting is on October 24 after school in room 218.
Boy’s basketball is also looking for great players. Whether you’re an experienced player or new to the sport this is the perfect opportunity to improve your skills and become part of the competitive team. Coach Criscera ([email protected]) and Coach Palek ([email protected]) can be contacted for more information. The first interest meeting is on October 22 in room 218.
Bowling might not require running, but it takes precision, focus, and teamwork. Coach Hornby ([email protected]) and Coach Boncheck ([email protected]) invite both seasoned bowlers and those new to the sport to join the team for a season full of strokes, spares, and team spirit. The first interest meeting is on October 24.
Wrestling is one of the most physically demanding sports, requiring strength, strategy, and perseverance. Coach Heitman ([email protected]) and Assisstant Coach Noble ([email protected]) is eager to lead the wrestling team to success this season and is looking for students ready to rise to the challenge.
