Was Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2” World tour worth attending? In my honest opinion, I do believe that it was worth it. Before the show started we had two openers BIA and Skillibeng. Our first opener was Skillibeng and that’s not my kind of music but I loved the way he had the crowd energetic. BIA came shortly after Skillibeng and she was amazing. Hearing one of her biggest hits ‘WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” was the best thing.
Although the openers were short and sweet, I felt as if there should have been more than just a DJ filling in the gaps of pure silence. It took about 30-40 minutes before Nicki Minaj hit the stage. When Nicki Minaj came on it first started with her opening interlude then mixed in with her song “I’m the Best”. I believe that this is one of her best songs to open up with because it shows that she still is one of the best female rappers in the rap industry. After Nicki Minaj sings “I’m the Best”, she then begins to rap her most popular hits from her most recent album “Pink Friday 2”. Hearing those songs live was truly the best thing I’ve experienced.
She then wrapped up the concert by playing her biggest hits in general. As her most listened-to song Starships began to play everyone got up and started jumping. Seeing how music brings everyone together and brings joy to people made my night. Nicki Minaj has done so much to prove to everyone that this is where she belongs and her world tour did exactly that. The last song she performed was “Everybody” and knowing that it is the last song honestly brought tears to my eyes. I am glad that I chose to go because to me it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear music live.
Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour which is also known as the Gag City World tour was an amazing experience. There were some downsides such as Nicki Minaj coming onto the stage extremely late but in my opinion, it was all worth it in the end. I would recommend that you go to her concert because ask yourself. When will you ever get to hear music performed live? Buy those tickets because it will be worth it in the end.
