The Multicultural Fair is always a highlight of the school year, and while there’s plenty to enjoy—delicious food, colorful displays, and lots of laughter—it’s the live performances that truly bring the event to life. This year, the stage was lit up by groups representing Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and our own school majorettes, each showcasing the heart and soul of their cultures through music and dance.

Preparation for the performances began weeks in advance. Students practiced after school and on weekends, perfecting every move and ensuring their costumes reflected the traditions they represented. Thanks to Mrs. Orsita’s tireless organization, the gym was transformed into a global stage, ready for a show that would not soon be forgotten.
The energy was electric as the Brazilian group opened the festivities with a vibrant samba routine. Dressed in bright colors, the dancers moved with infectious energy, instantly transporting the audience to the lively streets of Rio de Janeiro. The rhythms of the music and the joy on the performers’ faces had everyone clapping along and smiling.

Next up, the Dominican Republic group took the stage. Their merengue performance was fast-paced and full of flair, with dancers moving in perfect sync to the upbeat music. They wore traditional dresses in the colors, and the audience could feel the pride and excitement in every step. The performance captured the spirit of celebration that is so important in Dominican culture.
Mexico’s group was equally impressive, presenting a folkloric dance that featured synchronized footwork. The performers wore beautifully embroidered costumes and moved gracefully across the stage, sharing a piece of Mexican heritage with everyone in the room. Their dance told a story of tradition, family, and national pride, and the cheers from the crowd showed just how much it was appreciated.
To wrap up the show, the school’s majorettes delivered a high-energy routine that combined sharp choreography and school spirit. Their performance brought everyone together, reminding us that while we come from many backgrounds, we’re all part of the same school family. The majorettes’ precision and enthusiasm left a lasting impression and brought the event to an exciting close.
This year’s Multicultural Fair performances were more than just entertainment—they were a celebration of identity, unity, and pride. From Brazil’s samba to the Dominican Republic’s merengue, Mexico’s folkloric dance, and the majorettes’ spirited routine, each group gave us a chance to experience the world without ever leaving the gym. Thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Orsita and every performer, the fair was a powerful reminder of how art and culture can bring us all closer together.
