Seeing the event and how beautifully it was put together made the experience meaningful and inspiring. Some foods I recognized, but others were new to me. Though each one allowed me to get a deeper look into other places and their food. One thing I realize is that people tend not to look outside of things we aren’t a part of or aren’t familiar with. So, my takeaway from this experience is to be open-minded and not be so closed off to other people and their cultures.
Overall, the Multicultural Fair was a very beautiful and well-put-together event. It showed that food is more than just something we eat, but a way to connect with other people and their cultures. Events like this remind us that even though we all come from different backgrounds, we can all come together through shared experiences like food. As in we can try different things and really open ourselves up to other cultures. Trying new dishes can be an amazing and connective experience. So try to stay open-minded when it comes to trying new things because it allows the world to feel a little more connected. God Bless You.
