Stranger Things, a household tv show starring Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, and Noah Schnapp as Will. In 2016 the show came out on Netflix and before long, everyone grew to adore this new show and the stranger things fandom came to be. But what really makes this show so great and has kept good publicity throughout the 10 years that it’s been in production?
Something that makes Stranger things such a fan favorite is the age diversity. Stranger things is one of those rare shows that anyone can watch no matter what age. For adults there is the big nostalgic factor. From the different music to classic 80s activities like spending riding around on your bike, spending the day at your local arcade or working at a blockbuster. But for younger kids/teens who didn’t live during the iconic 80s there’s that cool retro vibe that everyone loves to see. Along with nostalgic interest the plot of the show is full of action and real life lessons. A strong theme shown throughout the seasons is friendship. In season 1 you see a group of 4 little boys take care and protect their new found friend Eleven teaching her the importance of friendship and family. From season one, 4 boys who found a little girl lost in the rain to season 5, finding a sister, best friend, daughter, girl friend she found her support system.Â
Stranger Things coming to an end after 10 years of giving cliff hangers, laughs and a few tear jerkers. We leave the show remembering all the lovable characters, meaningful moments and a long D&D game. What personally brought a love for this show from me was growing up with the characters as the seasons went on. In season one I was 6 watching the first season with my dad scared of the demagorgans and now I’m 15 watching the season finale.
